How to prepare a domain for a website launch (putting content on the site in advance)?
I purchased a domain name to use for an e-commerce site about 6 months ago (let’s call it xyz.com and assume I was selling pianos). I plan on launching my new site in about 5 months from now. I know that the age of a domain helps for SEO and that building a reputation with the search engine also can take time. Which leads to my question (sorry if it has been discussed before…I am a bit of a Newbie):
Should I build a temporary webpage and place some article on the industry that I want to be involved in? Will a blog etc. with some sort of site related content help me in the SERPs for my eventual launch?
Can I hurt myself by doing this?
