There are many ways you can promote your Internet business. You can try buying traffic using Pay Per Click, article marketing, Web 2.0 marketing, or other traffic building methods. Regardless of which method you eventually try out, the goal is always the same – drive targeted traffic.
The success and failure of your Internet business depends on how targeted your traffic is. For example, if you are running a billing software company, you want to be sure who your target prospects are. Are they doctors, retailers, or software vendors? For instance, if you are targeting “billing software”, you must build links with the anchor texts “billing software” in them. And you don’t want your links to appear on just any website. Link farms will probably hurt your site rankings. What you want, is inbound links from relevant websites or web pages. These sites have content that is of similar theme with your business. The more inbound links you have, the better.
Squidoo is a very popular website that allows you to create content on the site. Each page you create is called a Lens. On the Lens, you can promote your own products and services. Of course, be sure to give something back to the community by offering valuable information in your Lens.
Creating content on well established websites like Squidoo will help your sites to rank well in the search engines very quickly. Soon, you will be enjoying a stream of targeted traffic from the search engines everyday!

If I reduce myself to a part-time student in college will I be able to get my parents insurance back next sem.
I’m currently enrolled in Suffolk County Community College as a full-time student, so I am under my dads insurance. I’m not doing so well in 3 of my classes and would like to with draw. I know i will be losing insurance benefits for the rest of the semester but will I be able to gain the insurance back next semester as a full-time student. Or is it once your off the insurance you cant go back on.
If you don’t use the insurance between now and next semester, they probably won’t request verification. It’s risky…one car accident and you are screwed. Can you go to the doctor’s office and get a verification of enrollment from and THEN withdraw from your classes? You can always private pay on your own plan, if it comes down to it. You won’t be able to get back on with him but COBRA requires them to allow you to buy insurance from them for 36 months.

Hopefully,I will get some credits transferred to the 4 year school and can start not as a freshman.
You would put down which you would be going towards the academic year you are applying for. So if you will be at a community college for that academic year, put associates degree. If you will be at a four year school, put bachelors degree.

I’m looking for advanced tactics to getting traffic to your website. I’m interested in using adwords, but not sure where to start. My sites are already well SEO’d and get substantial traffic, but I know it can be better! Does anyone have ideas or resources for advanced netrepreneurs?

You can find a fr*ee download on my website listed in the resource box. It is for an e-book written by a Google Adwords expert. The e-book is entitled "Google Adwords Made Easy" and helped me very much.
You might also want to explore some free methods. Below are a few that should give you good results. If you haven’t tried these yet, give it a try:
You should place fr*ee classified ads at Direct Matches and head over to Adland Pros, which is similar to Direct Matches.
You will find various categories where you can place your classified ads…just pick the ones that are the most suitable.
These are excellent online communities that are fr*ee to join and you can advertise your business or opportunity and get it in front of many eyes.
They also have a very good traffic exchange that you should join. Just read the instructions to join the traffic exchange.
This is another fr*ee method to increase traffic to your site.
The best traffic exchange is Traffic Swarm. ….traffic exchanges are very good to get your ads in front of many eyes. Just participate in the fr*ee exchanges. It is based on surfing the net and viewing other participating advertisers and you receive credits. The more credits you have, the more your ad is shown to the traffic exchange members.
Make sure to read the getting started section to activate your account properly.
Another excellent online community is Yuwie, which will allow you to blog and connect with a rapidly growing community of friends and enable you to get your name out there.
Go to forums, including the ones at Direct matches and Adland Pro. Post to forums…do not do blatant advertising or you will get banned. Set up a signature file and put you website there. Some forums have specific areas for fr*ee ads…use those, too.
