Does Your SEO Service Know About Unethical Practices
There are sites that have been temporarily or permanently banned from search engines for practicing of black-hat SEO techniques. As the search engines try their best to provide the most relevant and useful results to the users, the reaction of search engines against malpractices of SEO is easily understandable. The retribution is a constructive step taken by search engines to avoid any irrelevant and manipulated search result. Moreover, the SEO services that claim to achieve top ranking for websites adapt many unethical methods of search engine optimization to make easy money. But, the consequences of hiring such SEO services are always devastating. In a nutshell, the future of your website as well as your online business is at stake if you are not aware of the SEO practices that can lead you to a catastrophe.
Basically, the SEO services are designed to enhance the online visibility of a website that can generate relevant and target traffic. But, there is always a wide gap between optimization and manipulated optimization. Optimization is a natural process of applying SEO techniques for high rankings in search engines, where as manipulated optimization is something considered illegal by search engines and should be better avoided. Basically, manipulating keyword density, Link spamming and duplicate content are the basic forms of SEO malpractices.
Keyword Density
The most considered topic in SEO is keyword. All link building techniques and content development strategies are developed around keywords. Moreover, the search engine results are also based on keywords. Hence, many SEO services go to the extent of over-optimization with keywords to secure high ranking of their clients’ websites. Keyword stuffing is the common and widespread unethical technique of SEO and can result in serious penalties for the websites. Generally, 3-7% keyword density is considered ideal including their use in title of the page, body of the content, headline, subheadings and link texts.
Link Spamming
Assuming the number of links to an essential factor responsible for higher rankings of a website many SEO services go for building links from link farms and other irrelevant sites. Sometimes, the search engines have reported spam even with reciprocal linking. Natural link building is the best option if you want to be in a safe zone in link building. Any kind of link spamming is like inviting penalties from the search engines. It is important to note that for major search engines such as Google, it is the quality of incoming link that adds value to a website.
Duplicate Content
It is the basic SEO rule that content should be unique. Duplicate content means having two pages on the web with same content. Search engines glare at the websites that copy content from other websites. A website having two pages with similar content is also treated as duplicate.
Doorway pages or redirection is another form of SEO manipulation.
Search engines simply don’t like any unethical use of SEO and determine penalties for the websites according to the intensity of the crime. Hence, SEO services should comply with the search engine norms for long-term positive results.

Keyword SEO strategy – Absolute number versus Proportionality?
Which is better from an optimization perspective in the major engines.
Option A : Web page with 10,000 words of content of which 2% are keywords (200 total)
Option B: Web page with 500 words of content of which 10% are keywords (50 total).
All things being equal which would rate better?
well let me re-word the problem to eliminate the issue of spamming.
Which is better,
(A) 10,000 words with 1% keyword match (100words)
OR
(B) 1,000 words with 3% keyword match
(30words)
You see my point? Which is better, A or B?
Option A is my choice if those are the only two options. I would think you would be fine with the below variable.
750 average words, 3% "MAX" keyword density, you don’t want search engines to think your web pages are using keyword stuffing techniques.

Strategies of Internet Marketing
In an environment where so much commerce is taking place online, any company who wants to achieve their full potential must have a solid Internet marketing strategy in place. Unfortunately, even with the online world such an integral part of doing business these days, many companies don’t completely develop their strategies.
Even with all the information available online about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay per Click (PPC) advertising, and all other forms of Internet marketing, many companies are unaware of the best procedures to get to the top of the search engines. Working in the SEO industry I am often surprised (though I suppose I shouldn’t be) at how many misconceptions are still so prevalent.
For example, many companies still believe a simple website is enough. If you build it they will come. And then they seem surprised when no one visits the site. For more details go to www.internet-marketing-word.com Then there are the companies who actually still believe that old Black Hat SEO techniques are valid Internet marketing strategies. These are techniques that have long ago been shunned by search engines, such as keyword stuffing or automated generation of countless doorway pages.
Why do they do this? Because somewhere along the line of marketers someone heard that someone else had a lot of success doing this. Pretty vague, right? This is, of course, a bad way to start developing Internet marketing strategies.
If you are going to create a valuable marketing plan you must start with a strong knowledge base. This is probably the main motivation for many companies to outsource their SEO campaign. The just don’t feel as though they can conquer the learning curve witching a manageable time frame.
But if you are going to do it in-house, this is where you need to start. Gain an understanding of what works and, more importantly, why it works. The same goes for techniques that are ethically questionable. Find out what makes them Black Hat SEO and why all the search engines frown on them. Then you’ll be able to actively apply your knowledge as you attempt new Internet marketing strategies.
The next step in developing a strong marketing plan is evaluation. Take a moment and really evaluate what you have on your site. It has to be a “friendly” site, and it has to be friendly in at least two aspects. First, you must be visitor friendly. This means readable content, intuitive navigation, and strong information architecture.
Second, you must also be friendly to the search engines. This means readable content, intuitive navigation, and strong information architecture.
Sound similar? There’s a reason for that. For more details go to wwwauto-hits-machine.com They are. But don’t be completely fooled. Search engines and customers may be looking at the same thing, but the way to impress them is subtly different. Knowing these differences will help you accomplish this and be friendly to both at the same time.
Next, it’s time to reach out to other areas of the Internet and draw attention to your site. I’m not talking about customers yet. I’m talking about other websites. You need links from them in order to build high rankings. These rankings will be required before customers can find you, so you must seek out “votes” from other sites first. There are a number of ways to accomplish this, and a great deal of SEO revolves around this task. This could include social marketing, viral marketing, article marketing, bloggin, and any other ethical method to gain one-way, quality links.
Finally, and this almost brings us full circle, a marketing strategy requires understanding. It means you must understand that despite the speed in which eCommerce moves, Internet marketing does not have overnight results. It takes time. Time to gather links and time to build trust with customers and with search engines.
Developing an Internet marketing strategy, then, requires knowledge, evaluation, outreach, and understanding. When you can accomplish this you can begin to secure your online presence.Andy Elias on is a writer at Main10, Inc, a Utah Internet marketing company. Search Engines and Keyword Stuffing
Keyword stuffing is a “Black Hat” technique. Cloaked pages, keyword stuffing and hidden text are just some of the techniques tried by many webmasters which are unapproved methods by search engines. One of the most widely used techniques is what is called keyword stuffing; this is defined by repeating the same word again and again in the Meta tags or main the main body of the site.
Sometimes SEO experts go too far in their desire to push their clients’ sites to top positions and resort to questionable practices, like keyword stuffing. Black hat SEO involves old tricks and some new ones that have become widely used in search engine optimization. If you choose to hire an SEO company that is trying to stuff extra keyword phrases into this tag, I would be concerned about this because in the long run this type of SEO technique will not hold up. SEO is the process of optimizing web pages for keywords and key phrases so that they rank highly in the results returned for search queries. SEO tactics are not always honest this has spawned the negative aspects of SEO. Keyword spamming or stuffing is just the tip of the iceberg.
Some firms use methods called invisible keyword stuffing. What is invisible text? Invisible text is text with the same text color as the background of the pages. There are many ways to make text invisible. One of the ways of using invisible keywords is by making the keywords the same color as the page; if the page is white you make the text white. The text or a link is invisible to the naked eye on a web page, but are seen by spiders. Since the invisible text is read by the search engine crawlers the text or keywords are picked up and indexed. Invisible keyword-rich text in page code is old news to search-engine spiders, they are more advanced and can recognize when a page is using keyword stuffing. The other types of black techniques are content spamming which includes meta tag stuffing and implementing gateway or doorway pages.
Some older content on websites could be considered keyword stuffing due to overuse of the keywords. Yet a website’s content still plays an enormous and fairly direct role in search engine ranking. Add new content or webpage’s daily or weekly to increase a search engine spider’s frequency. Web content keyword optimization is one of the most important step in SEO. Make sure your site is full of unique, high-quality content. Make sure your meta keywords and meta description tags reflect the true meaning of your site and is not simply hidden keyword stuffing. When search engines index the content, the content will be analyzed by the search engine, it could be interpreted as an unapproved technique which will then get your pages de-indexed. Content is the most important part of optimizing your web site for search engines. Try to write the content naturally for the readers rather than the search engines. Good content brings return visitors who may eventually link to your site.
If you are going to promote your website you should stick to white hat SEO methods and recognizing that the black hat SEO tactics which are quick and dirty techniques will not help your business in the long run.

Search Engine Optimization and Its Role in Search Engine Marketing
Internet marketing has rapidly grown over the years. Businesses big and small are trying to reap the benefits that an online presence offers. And an online presence for an existing business, regardless of what it may be, does often mean increased return on investment. And given increasing competition, with everyone having logged on, in a manner of speaking, just having a website is not enough.
Also known as e-commerce, internet marketing covers everything from information management to sales. Specialized areas such as public relations and customer service and many others have also joined into this complex world. Along with the common business models (business-to-business and business-to-consumer) a third peer-to-peer has manifested in the internet marketing arena where individuals exchange goods with each other.
The growth of internet marketing gave rise to search engine marketing. SEM aims at improving the visibility of a website on the results pages of major search engines. There are three main methods of carrying out SEM,
a) search engine optimization (SEO)
b) pay per click
c) paid inclusion.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) fine tunes the content and structure of a website to achieve the closest possible match to what visitors on search engines are looking for. Also known as Search Engine Advertising, Pay Per Click advertising, is the method wherein advertisers bid on “keywords” that they are sure their target user will type into the search bar. These “sponsored ads”, as they are called, appear above the search results and an advertiser pays when the user clicks on the ad. The third method of SEM, Paid Inclusion, is rather straightforward as suggested by the name. Website owners pay search engines, typically an annual fee, in order to be listed on their search pages.
Clearly PPC and Paid Inclusion seem like the fastest methods of search engine marketing. Yet, many website owners prefer to adopt the more time consuming Search Engine Optimization method for better marketing of their website on search engines.
The name SEO is misleading because the idea is in fact to optimize the web page to attract visitors on leading search engines. Search engines work on the basis of specific algorithms, and the idea behind SEO is to keep keywords on websites in sync with these algorithms.
Once again, as your SEO service provider will tell you, the focus is not on a precise understanding of the algorithms. Here it becomes important to know your target audience, preempt the keywords they will type, and to make sure your website is laden with these keywords. The idea was to emphasis on keyword density. Keyword density, as the name suggests, is quite simply how often a predefined set of keywords is repeated on a web site. Over the years, unethical practices such as keyword stuffing has made search engines like Google wary of giving important to keyword density. Given this scenario website owners are now advised to write content meant for visitors, rather than “stuff” their website with keywords just to attract high ranking. Yet another common unethical practice is the insertion of highly searched keywords that have nothing whatsoever to do with the content on the page. This again may temporarily attract high ranking, but is bound to end with the site being caught and banned.
Affecting the keyword density and/or content rewriting is just one part of the SEO process. In order to make websites more search engine friendly navigation patterns of a website are also modified. The sole purpose of having a navigation system is for the site to be more user-friendly. Unfortunately in an attempt at being unique, web site owners and designers get carried away and end up devising complex navigation systems. Yet another element that may be changed during the SEO process is the internal link structure of a website. Website owners in their bid to have higher rankings on search engine result pages obtain a long list of irrelevant links to their sites. Modern day search engines are equipped to identify such sites, and would mostly ban them.
It is always advisable to adopt SEO starting with the initial development and design stage of a website. In other words rather than using SEO as an afterthought, it needs to be thought of as a stage in the lifecycle of website creation. This would assure a good beginning in the ranking of the results pages of various search engines. And once this groundwork is done, improving the rankings would become a less challenging task.
Global companies are now looking at partnering with Indian firms that offer SEO services. There are many Indian companies in the field that offer high-quality, cost-effective SEO services. Working with these firms you can monitor the progress made on projects, and be assured of dedicated work towards meeting desired goals.

Seo – What Is Content Spamming?
Content spamming is a form of black hat search engine optimization that has the intention of altering the way a search engine perceives a page’s contents. There are several ways that this can be accomplished.
One of the most popular types of content spamming is to insert hidden or visible text right on the web page in the form of disguised keywords and phrases. These keywords are the same color as the background, hidden as a tiny font or hidden within HTML code, ALT attributes and “no script” sections. This helps attract a web crawler.
Yet another popular content spamming technique is called keyword stuffing. This involves the insertion of hidden, random text on a webpage to raise the keyword density or ratio of keywords to other words on the page. This technique has become so common it is considered white hat SEO. Older versions of indexing programs simply counted how often a keyword appeared, and used that to determine relevance levels. Most modern search engines have the ability to analyze a page for keyword stuffing and determine whether the frequency is above a “normal” level. Similar is the practice of meta tag stuffing which is the practice of repeating keywords in the Meta tags, and using keywords that are unrelated to the site’s content.
Yet another SEO tactic is to use what is called “Gateway” or doorway pages. These are low-quality web pages that contain very little content but are instead stuffed with very similar key words and phrases. They are designed to rank highly within the search results. A doorway page will generally have “click here to enter” in the middle of it and this is the link that leads you to the more human friendly aspect of a site. This type of content spam is also so common it is considered to be white hat.
