How to get multiple search listings (details shown within)?
I was browsing across a search engine earlier today and wondered how it was possible to get multiple search results listed under your main result for example this was my results for searching for yahoo:

So you see yahoo has associated pages found and linked to their initial result. It is just a curiousity I have, please no black hat SEO answers or anything like that.
They (= search engines) constantly send out specialized browsers (spiders, crawlers) that index all known pages and the links these have to new pages and among each other. They feed found info to data banks plus store them in a cache (the later if the page owner permits this). They do precalculations – so they do not do it for You from scratch every time. They calculate "how well Your "search word" fits to the content of a site" according to their sophisticated algorithms that take into account the context You see, the meta tags (hidden info on the pages ) and what other pages "think" of the site ( "think" = link popularity & what the pages use for the anchor text = human readable words of the link / what we read, since we do not often see the link but e.g. yahoo movies) is very valuable for the assessment. This informs engines how "others/the public/ppl" think of a page – their backbones are machines – they can not judje themslves. They take into account: who links whom, site’s age, where searchers go whether they return imiditely to continue

The biggest things are IMHO content and link popularity – and the old human generated & evaluated site registers, wikipedia ….
